We are a storytelling space in San Diego focusing on sharing the wonderful positive contributions of immigrants to our country. In partnership with the San Diego Union Tribune, 76 of the regions immigrants were profiled in the Sept 16, 2018 Sunday issue of the newspaper along with videos and images. But it was only a glimpse of the magnificent and inspirational accounts of all these New Americans. Our dream at New Americans Museum is to share these stories throughout San Diego by presenting an entire Educational Exhibition at the Museum in Liberty Station along with the full accounts on video, interactive touchscreen pulling demographic data about our county & its amazing immigrants, and making it free and open to the public. Making the exhibit available for school tours and allowing local kids and families to spend time researching and sharing their own heritage which in the end connects us all as Americans. Your contribution big & small would help us pay for the materials such as printing the large scale panels to reproduce the images onsite, online & print teacher/student guides, and other educational resources, keeping it free to all, bring school tours onsite, and allow us to loan the exhibit to other non profits, schools, & libraries into 2019. We need these funds as soon as possible so that we can pay for the materials and promote to neighborhoods and communities. Please help us tell all our combined stories--we cannot do this without you--and in fact we invite you to add your own or your family's multi generational immigrant journey to the US--we can collect it here at the museum and add your narrative to the archive. We will recognize all those that contribute with a special signage in the museum galleries and when the exhibit travels to other locations we will make sure to include your name [if you wish] as a champion. Please contribute so we can meet our goal and underwrite the costs to present and continue this important archive! New American Voices: Our Immigrant Stories exhibition A million thanks!!
